The Ochuda

I’m having the time of my life. Not.

I spend my weeks in Louisville, KY (which is a fantastic town, by the way, not that I get to see a lot of it), working 13-14 hour days. I try to hit the gym (the building has an amazing gym no one uses) and then, if I’m still mentally functional, I sit down to write a few paragraphs. I go to sleep at around 9:30PM, and I’m up at 5:30 and in the office at 6:30 to repeat the process. Occasionally, on some weekends, I fly back to Tampa to see my beautiful wife. It’s a joy, I tell ya.

But it’s a transformational project, and I knew it would be like this for awhile. Ah well, enough about me.

Let’s talk about Book 5. I’m not ready to release the name yet, but I figured I’d give you guys a trailer I made in my spare seconds. When CAIPARR receives the artifacts from the Builder, she learns that Species One had been collecting subsets of humanity to relocate them upon other planets, though she does not yet understand why. One of these planets is Nu Lupi, in the constellation Lupus. If you remember “The Night of the Taking”, where the Lomolai (thought to believe the Kamaitachi come to life) abduct the Japanese samurai and their retainers. This strand of the story returns to become entwined with what is going on in 18 Scorpii with the Tribe, and with the Legion on Valentia. All of it, managed by the Severant, for some purpose yet to be uncovered.

Have a look at the teaser, which I won’t put on social media until later in the week, but figured I’d share with you folks first, as we are our own Tribe.
